Ok, if Abhinav’s win was ‘Chak De India’ then what does the Media suggest today – in the wake of ’strings of defeats’?

This is exactly for what, I asked them to be sensible. But Alas! Do these MSM people have any sense of ‘moments’! Just like ‘instant noodles’ these 20 somethings PYTs (Pretty Young Things) shoots their mouths rather too soon… some thing our ‘respected’ elders always warned us against.

Of course, the achievement is stupendous and ‘Celeberation Mangata Hai Bhai’. I too did celebrate yesterevening ‘my way’.

I just emphasized a point, that it is Abhinav’s ‘Personal & Individual’ win – as I stand vindicated by a report in published in HT on front Page,dated today.

Media, as always go overboard and ‘hailing’ it as ‘Chak De India’ was just plain stupid.

As you have mentioned it is a proud and inspiring moment for Indians all over the world.

One also wonders that if this person had to spend his own money to achieve this level of excellence, what about the adequacy of the government facilities and the people using them to hone their skills? Does this call for private sponsorship or more government accountability?

I admire the way you are able to appreciate and be enthusiastic about such achievements.
